Suunto t6d Heart Rate Monitor really accurate to buy
I did plenty of research on these watches/computers and glad i got the suunto. you wont realize much documentation on the web site and not much comes with the watch but you actually dont would like it. All you would like is some time to mess around with the menu and if you be a part of a free forum like movescount, you will get all the information you actually would like on it.
The watch is light-weight weight, durable, keeps additional stats than the average person extremely needs, and is fairly accurate. I dont regret the decision to get the watch or foot pod; would do it again in a heartbeat and am considering giving them as gifts.
Things i don’t like, when in a coaching program the backlight is useless. It lights up, and you’ll scan it, but it flashes; i cant scan alittle flashing screen when i am running within the dark. The pc affiliation cable and terminals are archaic. three recessed brass terminals on the watch and three brass pogo jumpers on a clip, after drenching the entire thing in sweat and grime, it takes a number of tries to induce it converge and download. i might have expected some style of BT sync or something additional advanced given how great the watch is.
again, the watch is over most people would wish -more than i need – but the HR band is incredibly comfy and the watch will it all and is comfy to use and wear.
UPDATE:
I have had this watch/belt/foot pod for over a year and use them to run at least 3 times (5hrs) per week. thus far the watch is great. I actually have no regrets and would purchase this again. Belt and foot pod take little/no time to setup, calibration is additionally straightforward. Once setup I found them to be reliable and accurate. The watch is straightforward to use and simple to scan when running; I particularly liked the setup of custom displays. The watch is extraordinarily comfy and doesn’t slide around. The HR belt is additionally very comfy, I forget it’s on most of the time.
I realize the Suunto watch/software to be helpful. It tells me all sorts of stuff HR, pace, averages, altitude, temp, distance, coaching impact, lap times, time, kCals, …etc. Suunto’s MovesCount website keeps the logs and coaching statistics online which is sweet. best of all the sync software is MAC/PC compatible.
The only annoyances I actually have with this watch are the backlight is non extremely helpful and the audible alarms are faint. The sync cable may be annoying. The foot pod is light-weight and constantly accurate, but the mounting clip is slightly wider than i might like for my shoe.
